Tejashwi Yadav: On Monday, Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav stated that the chargesheet against him in the alleged land-for-jobs scheme had “no merit,” and that the BJP files such chargesheets everytime it loses power.
“no merit in case,” as Tejashwi Yadav
There are a total of seventeen people charged in this case, including Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav and his parents, RJD head and former railway minister Lalu Prasad and former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi, who were all named in the chargesheet issued by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on July 3. During his time as railway minister in the UPA-1 government from 2004 to 2009, Lalu Prasad was accused of engaging in a corruption scam in which he amassed property worth Rs 4.39 crore in exchange for only Rs 26 lakh by offering jobs to eight individuals in exchange for land.
The first charge sheet was submitted in 2017, and here we are in 2023. For the last half a decade, what exactly have the federal departments been up to? In the past, anytime we have beaten the BJP, charge papers have been filed and raids have been performed against us, and the people of the nation and Bihar are well aware of this. He firmly asserted that the case was without merit.
