Amitabh Bachchan discusses his inability to participate in SDCC.
On Saturday, Amitabh posted to his blog, “Alright.. so.. San Diego and K, the project.. a great moment for the film and the makers and all those that went there for the release of the first look for it..” Nagi Sir really tried to convince me to come, but job and health issues have prevented me from attending similar events in the past, so I can only say, “The first look was pretty darn good; the style, music, frames; everything.”
Amitabh Bachchan discusses the era of Kalki, 2898 A.D.
“And now, in the year 2898 A.D., we have the long-awaited unveiling of K.. KALKI.. mythologically so pivotal.” Hasn’t AD been updated? Yes.. AD, which I believe was ‘anno domini’, meaning ‘in the year of the Lord’.. was altered to CE – common era.. and BC, became BCE – before common era! I don’t know why this is the case, but it seems to have something to do with the fact that different parts of the world use different calculations for the names of the years and months in their calendars.
Amitabh Bachchan admitted he had no idea what SDCC was.
In a recent blog post, Amitabh revealed that his son, the actor Abhishek Bachchan, was the one to introduce him to Comic Con. “I will freely admit that I did not know what Comicon meant or was until I informed Abhishek, or rather asked him what this is all about, and he said.. with a surprised look on his face: ‘Dad.. Comicon? this is a huge deal. Incredulous enthusiasm for Nagi Ashwin and his crew as I participate in a Zoom call at the release of their film today.
