Asia Cup 2023 Cricket will begin on August 30: The Asian Cricket Council has moved forward the start date of the Asia Cup 2023 Cricket from August 31 to August 30 in Multan, with Pakistan taking on Nepal in the first match. The match between Pakistan and India will take place in Kandy on September 2, and if both sides advance to the Super 4s, the match would be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Another city in Pakistan that will play host to the games is Lahore. The final is set for September 17 in Colombo, with a rain date of September 18.
Because of the hybrid format agreed by the ACC recently for the six-nation tournament being played in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, the initial draught schedule created by the PCB (the hosting body) went through multiple revisions.
Asia Cup 2023 Cricket
Four of Pakistan’s matches were originally scheduled to be played in a single city. After a new PCB administration took control this month, led by new chairman Zaka Ashraf, Multan was added as the second site.
The event has a total of 13 games spread over four locations. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan make up Group B, while Pakistan, India, and Nepal make up Group A. Group winners go to Super 4s, where the top two teams from each bracket play for a shot at the championship. This year’s Asia Cup 2023 Cricket will be contested in the 50-over format, and for five of the six nations (with the exception of Nepal), it will serve as a warmup for the One-Day International World Cup, which will begin on October 5 in India.
Asia Cup 2023 Cricket – Afghanistan and Bangladesh are scheduled to play on September 3 in Lahore, with Sri Lanka and Afghanistan playing on September 5 at the Gaddafi Stadium. It doesn’t matter how the first round goes, Pakistan will always be A1, India will always be A2, Sri Lanka will always be B1, and Bangladesh will always be B2. If Nepal and Afghanistan make it to the Super 4s, they will replace whichever side from Group A or Group B is eliminated first (Pakistan or India, respectively).
On September 6 in Lahore, between A1 and B2, is the only Super 4s match scheduled to be played in Pakistan.
